Director Danny Boyle (Train Investigation) reveals vague details about the Oscars Oppenheimer Actors participate in IGN. The upcoming trilogy expands the world Boyle and Alex Garland (civil war)start 28 days later and its star Cillian Murphy, with a new interconnected story. However, Murphy won’t be in the first film, as it introduces a new central character: Spike, a 12-year-old boy portrayed by Alfie Williams, whose family (led by Jodie Comer and Aaron Taylor-Johnson) finds themselves in the post-world zombie outbreak.
“Although every story is done, there is a swap part for the next movie too. So it’s very ambitious. We haven’t provided money for the third one yet. I think it will depend on the money for the first one,” Boyle shared and explained that Murphy’s return depends on the way the first two movies were.
“But if we hope we can do it, they will bring us the money and the third sum. Everyone is working on it. Actually. Cyrian included,” the director confirmed Murphy’s involvement.

Boyle revealed: “He’s in the second, I shouldn’t have paid too much. I’ll be killed.” But we can guess that his appearance will only make fun of the potential of the third movie, which Sony hasn’t confirmed yet.
Boyle continued: “You know the things about the sequel, you want to keep going and take a huge risk.”
