Poco M7 5G is expected to launch as the successor of Poco M6 5G, which was launched in India in December 2023. The Indian variant of the smartphone has reportedly been spotted on a popular benchmarking website. This suggests that the phone will be launched soon. Notably, the Poco M7 Pro 5G has been confirmed to launch in India on December 17 alongside the Poco C75 5G phone.
Poco M7 5G Geekbench launch
An upcoming smartphone with model number Xiaomi 24108PCE2I has been spotted on Geekbench. The model was previously believed to be the Poco M7 5G, with the “I” indicating that it is the rumored Indian version of the phone. The company is yet to officially announce the phone.
The listing shows that the Poco M7 5G scored 916 points and 2,109 points in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively. The phone is powered by an octa-core chipset with two cores clocked at 2.21GHz and six cores clocked at 1.96GHz. It comes with Adreno 613 GPU and supports 6GB RAM. It is said to run on Android 14-based HyperOS.
Details suggest that the chipset used by the Poco M7 5G is likely to be the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, which is also used by the Redmi 14R.
Redmi 14R runs HyperOS based on Android 14 and has a 6.68-inch 120Hz HD+ LCD screen. It is available in 4GB, 6GB and 8GB RAM variants in China and supports up to 256GB of onboard storage. In terms of optics, the phone comes with a 13-megapixel dual rear camera unit and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. It packs a 5,160mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The phone starts at CNY 1,099 (approximately Rs. 13,000) for the 4GB + 128GB variant.
